We all need a little pampering now and then. Or daily. Whatever. I was happy to try a new product that promised a little bit of that daily pampering: Spongeables - Body Wash in a Sponge. Spongeables is a company out of Los Angeles. My American readers can find these in many stores, including WalMart, Meijer, and Amazon.com. It doesn't seem as if their products are available in stores in Canada, however, they do have an online shop that provides international shipping.
The sponge I received was Lavender Nectar. The scent is fairly mild and quite pleasant. The sponge comes infused with glycerin, shea butter and vitamin E, so you are getting a body wash plus moisturising skin care. You simply wet it in the shower, squeeze, and it creates a nice gentle foam. One side of the sponge is smooth for cleansing moisturizing, and the other is rougher to give some exfoliation of dry skin. It's certainly convenient to have your cleanser, moisturizer and delivery mechanism altogether. And because these each have a limited lifespan they may be more sanitary than the puffs I usually use and always forget to replace.
The sponges come in two sizes - 20 use and 5 use. The 5 use is a great travel size, and I think this one would make a lot of sense for me. Packing one or two small sponges would definitely take up less room than bringing along a bottle of shower gel and a puff.
I like this product, but I'm not sure it's the "Ultimate Spa in a Shower" as described on the packaging. It is convenient, easy to use, and has a nice scent. I do like the buffing side of the sponge for exfoliation. My skin feels soft and hydrated after use.
