Frigidaire and Jennifer Garner are at it again, in support of Save the Children Canada. The latest promotion is an "Eat Fresh" initiative. They are promoting eating local and fresh, which is particularly great at this time of year when the farmers' markets are just brimming with gorgeous fresh produce.
You can visit http://www.maketimeforchange.ca/index.html and click to take the pledge to Eat Fresh. When you take the pledge, Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save the Children Canada, up to a maximum of $40,000. (They have guaranteed a $35,000 minimum.) The site also contains some delicious looking recipes using fresh veggies and berries.
You will also have the chance to enter to win the new Frigidaire Professional French Door Refrigerator. This fridge is designed with special features to preserve fresh taste in our stored food. You can check out the Frigidaire website for more information.
This initiative and contest are running until September 20, 2011. You can enter the contest (and take the pledge) daily.
Their Sundae Funday initiative is also ongoing, until July 16, 2011. $22,700 donated so far! You can read my earlier post about this initiative here.
