I'm a #KinderMom !

I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen to join a great group of digital moms who will be working with Kinder Canada over the next three months to support them in their re-launch of Kinder Surprise, and to encourage our readers to find ways to make time for play everyday!

As a #KINDERMom, I will be participating in group discussions as well as blogging here about Kinder. Kinder eggs have been loved by kids and parents around the world since 1974.  With great tasting chocolate, a milky lining, and a fun toy, these are a great, inexpensive treat for our little ones. And, better yet, they are peanut free!  With allergies so prevalent these days and peanut-free policies in our schools and daycares, this is just one more reason to love and trust Kinder.

Me, I've been a Kinder Surprise fan for years, and I'm so happy now to be sharing these treats and toys with my boys. They've even inherited a bunch of older toys that I've kept.  I think my favourite toys are the ones that require some construction, because we enjoy putting them together as a team.

Here are just a few of the many Kinder Surprise toys we've collected over the years, along with two more eggs waiting to be enjoyed. Recognise any of these?

Each year brings a new collection of toys for Kinder. The 2012 collection is bigger, better, and more playful than ever. Inflatables, water squirters, stampers, pullback racers - the variety is super.  You can check out a preview of many of these new toys on Kinder Canada's Facebook page. I can't wait to check them out in real life too!
Kinder Canada's stated mission is "To encourage and celebrate playtime everyday between parent and child." I can certainly get behind that! How do you incorporate a little playtime with your child in every day? Sometimes we get so busy it's easy to forget how important it is to share some play with our kids. It helps us and them! One of our favourite things to do is to spend a little time after daycare pick-up, just hanging out and playing in the schoolyard. It's a great way to transition from daycare to home time, and I get to play with Little Boo and his friends, and to spend some time chatting with the other parents. Even a quick 15 minutes sets a great mood for the rest of the evening, and helps me decompress and re-connect after a busy day at the office.

Have you enjoyed a Kinder Surprise with your kids lately? I'd love to hear about how you enjoy these treats with your family. Please leave me a comment below to share your ideas!
