Stickheads - Review & Giveaway

We're approaching the end of October, and the weather is turning colder. Soon we Canadians will indeed be sporting our winter woolies (shiver). Your little one can make a big winter statement with a fun hockey stick hat in the colours of their favourite team. Hockey fans young and old will enjoy the product line available from Canadian company Stickheads.

The signature Stickhead hats are pictured above. This is a fun take on the traditional stocking cap, especially designed for the hockey fan. The quality of the materials, super soft 100% polyester polar fleece, and the details of the top stitching are obvious. A lot of care has gone into the development of these made in Canada hats. They are available from the Stickheads website for $24.99 each, in a selection of six colour combos. If your team or favourite combination is not listed, you can get a custom colour hat for just $5 more. The hats are available in sizes from infant to age 9+ (which should fit an average adult head too).

We are Maple Leafs fans in this house (mock us if you must), so Little Boo opted for the good ol' blue and white. The fleece is really warm and I'm sure it will keep his head and ears toasty come the snow. The size 4-8 fit his almost 6 year-old head great, and he was charmed with the hockey stick detail. I think this will be a real conversation piece on the schoolyard.

Look at the grin!

Stickheads was founded by Canadian moms, Susan and Melissa. Their product line also includes hockey t-shirts, fleece hoodies, and fleece blankets shaped like jerseys (totally cool!). Everything is made right here in Canada, which I love. And you can feel extra good about your purchase knowing that Stickheads donates a portion of all sales to three charities, supporting children's access to sports, cancer research, and the environment.

The team at Stickheads has provided a special discount code for Raising My Boys readers. You can enjoy 15% off your purchase until December 31, 2011. Just enter the code 15off in the discount box at checkout.

They have also generously offered a Stickheads Hockey Stick Hat of your own to one lucky reader. Please enter below via the Rafflecopter widget. Good luck!
Disclosure: I received a Stickheads Hockey Stick Hat to facilitate this review. All opinions in this post are my own.
