Making Healthy Vitamins Delicious - Adult Essentials (ShesConnected Brand Ambassador)

Life gets pretty busy for this working, commuting mom. Well, it gets busy for everyone, in different ways and for different reasons.  I know I don't always eat a properly balanced diet. Sometimes take-out is all we can manage. Or something quickly heated up from a can. So I do rely on supplements for myself and my family, to try to get the necessary nutrients in our bodies to keep us healthy.

My vitamins of choice for me are the Adult Essentials line of grown-up gummy vitamins. The entire line of vitamins are gluten-free, nut-free and dairy-free. All but the Omegas are also all vegetable sourced, with no animal gelatin. The vitamins use all natural ingredients and have no sugar coating, and, best of all, they taste great!

I love the soft consistency of these vitamins. Having gummies in the morning feels like a treat :) I especially like that the Omegas have no fishy taste whatsoever. This is because they use 100% triple-distilled fish oil. All the goodness, without the fish flavour. Also, since these vitamins have no artificial colours, neither does my pee! (Disturbing)

I found the Adult Essentials line at our local Shoppers Drug Mart, where they've just started carrying them this spring. The line is also available at most Rexall/PharmaPlus, Metro, Sobeys, Loblaws/RCSS, and London Drugs. Metro is my usual grocery store, but unfortunately mine is smaller and has not had Adult Essentials. I've been getting them at RCSS up til now.

Do you currently take a multivitamin or other nutritional supplement? What influences your decisions around supplements? If you have kids, have your choices or needs changed since becoming a parent?

You can connect with the fine folks behind Adult Essentials on their Facebook page or through Twitter.

Disclosure: I am participating in the Adult Essentials Blogger Outreach program by ShesConnected. I received a supply of vitamins and compensation in exchange for my participation in this campaign. The opinions on this blog are my own.
