I have a hot date set up for tomorrow morning. With a super cute guy. You may know him as "Little Boo."
My handsome boy and I are heading out to an early screening of the new Disney/Pixar film "Brave," which is being released next week, on June 22.
I have been looking forward to this film since I saw a trailer months ago. Yay!
Here is a brief behind-the-scenes video to whet your appetite and give you an idea of what this movie is all about:
It's from Disney/Pixar, so you know it will be a fun story and look great. And I am loving the non-traditional female lead character. Please watch for my review after the release!
Meanwhile, if you are in around any of the Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver downtown cores this weekend, you are in for a treat. To celebrate the release of “Brave," Walt Disney Studios Canada is bringing a taste of Scotland to these Canadian cities June 16 and 17.
From the press release:
What: Traditional Scottish bag pipers and dancers will journey through Canadian streets on Saturday and Sunday. Lads and lasses are encouraged to join the celebration, where they will have the opportunity to see clips from the film and win prizes.
Snap a picture of the festivities, and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “BRAVE BROUGHT SCOTLAND TO [CITY]” and you could win a double pass for you a guest to see “Brave” next Wednesday, June 20th. Make sure to replace ‘CITY’ with the city you ventured to this weekend!
Who: Presented by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada.
When: Saturday, June 16th and Sunday, June 17th.
Where: Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver downtown cores
The full schedule is available on Walt Disney Studios Canada’s Facebook page:
Sounds fun, right?! I'm hoping to get to check this out on Sunday in Toronto. If you do encounter this spectacle in your city, be sure to send in a picture to the email above, to enter for a chance to win a double pass for "Brave" on June 20. And I'd love it if you could visit me back here and let me know what you thought of the festivities. Leave me a comment to share the fun!
