HGG2012 - Dressing Up Your Hostess Gifts with Kimco (giveaway)

December is a month of special occasions and entertaining. Most of us will be heading off to a variety of dinners and holiday parties over the next few weeks, and will naturally be bringing along small offerings for the host or hostess. One of the more common, and much appreciated, hostess gifts is a lovely bottle of wine. We tend to present these in standard bottle-sized gift bags, but there is another, more creative option available.

These Kimco Wine Bottle Covers from BookSox.com come in six attractive patterns, including one covered in "thanks."  The fabric is stretchable, washable, and reusable, and is designed to fit over a standard 750ml wine bottle. I actually cheated and covered a bottle of port with one. The port bottle is stouter than a wine bottle, but the stretchy fabric easily adjusted to the different size and shape.

How pretty is that?!

The covers make for a lovely presentation when serving wine as well. It could be fun to use these for a blind wine tasting party! Your guests wouldn't be able to judge the wine based on how the label looks or the information it provides, so biases could be removed and folks might be able to open up and find a new fave.

Each Kimco Wine Bottle Cover comes with a gift bag and tag for giving. These are available online from BookSox.com, at $2.99 each. For Canadian residents, we cannot order directly online, but there is an 800 number we can call. I think these are a cute and unique way to present a gift of wine or to serve it at your own holiday or New Year's event. Since they are washable and reusable, you can get a lot of use from them on different occasions, and/or the recipient can re-use them to wrap their next hostess gift!
