You know I don't make New Year's resolutions, but now that the season of excess is coming to an end (my birthday on the 20th marks the real end of the holidays for me) I am ready and mostly willing to re-focus on my health. At my physical a couple of months ago my doctor informed me that my bad cholesterol is up, and she expressed concern over my weight and the fact so much of it is carried on my middle. Plus she said my core strength is pathetic (but she said it more diplomatically than that).
So, I've been trying to pay more attention to what and how much I'm eating and drinking. And I've started taking Pilates classes (more on that later - love!) When it gets a bit warmer (I'm a wimp) I am hoping to be able to try running. (Remember how I wanted to start running that last fall? I'm still pretty reliant on my inhaler, so we'll have to see.)
To give me a bit of a headstart in the weight loss arena, I have signed on for a 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge with Creative Bioscience. I'll be trying the African Mango 1200, which is recommended for anyone wanting to lose 20 pounds or more. I have about 30 pounds that need to go. 35 would rock. I'll be prepping for my diet with the African Mango Cleanse, to get my body ready to lose. Over the course of the 90 days I'll be keeping myself honest by reporting back to you periodically on how the challenge is going.
If you're a blogger, you can consider getting involved in this Challenge as well. Head on over to the Creative Bioscience 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge website to get all the information. And let me know if you do join this program. I'd love to follow your progress as well!
By the way, I found out about this Challenge through a post by my friend Sober Julie. She is trying out the HCG1234, and she'll be reporting back each week as part of her Motivated Monday series. She also hosts a linky with this series where you can link up your own posts about your own healthy living efforts.
Come on and join us!
