Do you remember at the beginning of the classic movie, "It's a Wonderful Life," when the young George Bailey proudly brandishes his new National Geographic magazine ("only for explorers!) and announces his intention to travel the world? National Geographic has always been associated with exploring, adventure, and learning through exposure to different cultures. My dad joined the National Geographic Society when I was a small child, and we always looked forward to receiving and poring over the magazines.
But did you know they also make a line of sturdy luggage? I honestly had no idea. But, then again, I'm not a luggage connoisseur. I'll share a few details - National Geographic’s net proceeds support vital exploration, conservation, research and education programs around the world. The luggage line covers a wide range of uses, including:
- Leisure travel – lightweight, with a wide range of models for vacation travel
- Adventure travel – rugged and functional for adventure travelling
- Business travel – lightweight and stylish for travel to meetings, with business cases, computer and tablet cases
The line is available at many retailers across Canada, including Sears, The Bay, and CAA locations.
So, enough about the luggage. I'm sure you want to hear about the sweepstakes as well!
The National Geographic Passport to Explore Sweepstakes begins with a scavenger hunt. Simply visit a participating National Geographic and National Geographic Explorer luggage retailer (check the list at the link above). Look for the Passport to Explore hangtag that can be found on National Geographic and National Geographic Explorer products. Identify the animal portrayed there. Then, come back to www.passporttoexplore.ca and submit your contact information along with the name of the mystery animal. Simple as that!
For a bonus entry, you can add my unique blogger code in the designated entry field. My code is 916.
