Gentle Care for Sensitive Skin from P&G

When Little Boo was born I was ever so careful with anything that touched his precious skin. Babies have notoriously sensitive skin, and I only used the gentlest products to wash his clothes, bathe him, diaper him, and moisturize his sweet little body. But as he and his tiny clothes grew, his skin took on a new toughness and all of his laundry joined that of the big people in regular loads.

We are blessed with fairly resilient skin, not prone to irritation. Strong detergents with fancy scents are just fine for us, but not everyone can use just anything on laundry day. If you have sensitive skin, you need to choose laundry products that will be gentle on your skin, and not leave irritants in your "clean" clothes. And at this time of year, when our skin is super dry from the cold outside, low humidity, and forced air indoors, sensitive skin can be even more prone to irritation.

Procter and Gamble have a line of laundry products for sensitive skin that may be just what you're looking for.

  • Wash: Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Detergent has been specially designed for sensitive skin. It’s made with no dyes or perfumes and is dermatologist tested to provide your fabrics with a great clean that’s gentle on your skin.
  • Soften: Experience all the softness of Downy, free from dyes, perfumes, and worries. Ultra Downy Free & Sensitive Liquid Softener is the leading “free” fabric softener that’s also 100 per cent dermatologist tested so you can focus on enjoying fabrics that are wonderfully soft with less static and fewer wrinkles.
  • Protect: Use Bounce Free & Sensitive Dryer Sheets and enjoy the softness and static protection of regular dryer sheets without perfumes or dyes. It’s like sensitive skin’s BFF.
Dermatologist tested and made gentle for you. Of course, you still are getting the great cleaning and softening power that comes with these trusted brands.
