Downy Unstoppables - Review #PGMom

I have to admit it. When I first saw the commercials for Downy Unstoppables, I did not think this product was necessary. Why would I need an extra scent added to my wash? When I went to the big #PGMom launch event last November, I still wasn't convinced, although one of my lovely friends, Stephanie, from How to Survive Life in the Suburbs sang their praises. She had been using them and was in love with her laundry.  Meh. My Tide and Bounce were doing a great job. Why add?

Procter & Gamble included two containers of the Downy Unstoppables In-Wash Scent Booster in my first round of  goodies to try out. They sent the Lush and Fresh scents. (Also available in Shimmer and Spring.) I added them to the laundry room, but I didn't immediately put them to work.

When I did decide to give them a try? Wow! I fell in love with my laundry too. This is a scent product, so it won't be right for everyone. And I don't think I'd say it's "necessary." But, I really enjoy the fresh scents that it provides to my clothes. Downy Unstoppables will keep your clothes, towels, etc., smelling fresh for up to 12 weeks, or the next wash, whichever comes first. I particularly like this product for my towels and sheets, and anything that might not get worn regularly. I preferred the Fresh scent, but the Lush is lovely as well. I am just a child of laundry drying on the line, and the Fresh reminded me of that kind of laundry day.

It's really easy to use. Just pour some in to the laundry tub at the beginning of your wash. I just sprinkle it over my clothes as the water is running in. Use as much or as little as you want to get the level of scent that's right for you. There is a measuring cap to give you some guidelines in the beginning.

Will I buy it myself? Yes, I will. Will I use it in every load? Maybe not, although I do love how my clothes smell when I use it. I definitely want it for my linens.

Here's the commercial for you, for some more info. I think it's pretty cute.
