This Saturday will be a busy day for kids and families in Scarborough. I just want to share a couple of free community events, both happening on Saturday, June 22.
Dorset Park Day
This annual community festival is a chance for residents, service providers, businesses, politicians and many more to come and celebrate the Dorset Park community. It is a day where people can meet their neighbours, have some fun, enjoy some food and learn about services available in the community.
Running from 12-4pm, at McGregor Park Community Resource Centre, 2231 Lawrence Ave E. (Birchmount and Lawrence), this year's event includes the following:
• Music and Performances
• Bounce Castle and Fire Truck
• Face Painting
• Police Car and Finger Printing
• St. John’s Ambulance
• Community Resources and Information
• Games and Raffle prizes
• Emergency Disaster Services
• Fun for all ages
3rd Annual Ward 19 Fun Fair
To be held at Glen Ravine Junior Public School at 11 Gadsby Drive (Brimley and Eglinton area). This event is hosted by TDSB Trustee, David Smith, and will run from 10am-4pm.
We have soccer pictures in the afternoon, but we'll be trying to make it to at least one of these events. Free fun for the kids is always a good thing!
