Emails just can't compare, in my opinion.
I still love to get "real mail" and feel the personal connection of seeing those familiar penstrokes on paper. Plus, I'm a sucker for pretty stationery. And I've found a source for some beautiful designs I can use when writing my own notes.
Minted.com is a global community of independent graphic designers and an online store that prints and sells the best of their designs in the form of paper goods. They offer a huge variety of note cards, invitations, calendars, journals, custom art pieces, and more.
Here is an image of the Doodle Flower Garden personalised stationery I recently ordered:
The design is by Laura Bolter, of Lenexa, Kansas. The paper is a 120lb card stock and has a lovely feel. You know how much I love my flowers, so this design was perfect for me.
And check out this adorable Birth Announcement:
I love the chalkboard design! But, if this one isn't right for you, there are 430 other designs in this category! And, because Minted.com holds monthly design challenges, you can expect to see new designs added regularly.
If you have a hankering to rediscover the lost art of letter writing, some pretty and personalised stationery might be just what you need. Or perhaps you are looking for a new journal or have your own special news to announce?
