HGG2013: Creative Fun for Kids with Skwooshi {review}

We've been playing with this toy for about a month now, and it's lots of fun. Skwooshi is a mess-free, odor-free, creative dough, that doesn't dry out. It comes in 10 fun colors and individual packs as well as larger sets, including molds to form pre-designed creations, like these monkeys:

The detail you can get with these molds is really quite good. Skwooshi's dry, fine texture makes this possible.

Of course, you don't need to use the molds. Kids can let their imaginations run wild as they skwoosh and shape this compound into whatever forms they can think up. Skwooshi feels very firm when you first take it out of its packaging, but it softens and molds very easily with a little squishing. I like that it has a dry, non-sticky feel to it. Boo likes that he can leave his creations out in the air without fear of ruining his Skwooshi for future use.

Here's a video to give you a good feel for how this toy performs.

Skwooshi is recommended for children ages 4 years and up and ranges in price from $2.99 to $29.99. I recommend this toy as a gift for girls or boys of all ages. The smaller, individual packs would even make a fun stocking stuffer for mom or dad - they can keep it on their desk to use in place of those stress balls when the day gets long.

You can find out more about Skwooshi by visiting their website or liking them on Facebook.
