Shea Butter Market is a Canadian company, based in Mill Bay, British Columbia, manufacturing all natural skin care products made with certified organic, fair trade compliant shea butter. The products cover the gamut from foot to facial creams, body creams, lip balm, bath salts, soaps, sun products and more. The range is great, and the prices are really reasonable
A bit about the company, from their website:
Our Certified Organic Shea Butter comes from the edge of the Sahara Desert in West Africa where pure shea butter has been used for over 2,000 years. Pure African Shea Butter softens, moisturizes and heals skin damaged by the heat and sun. Ancient African wisdom knew that Shea Butter kept skin healthy and young. Modern science tells us that Pure African Shea Butter is filled with fatty acids to stimulate skin renewal; tocopherols to give shea butter natural antioxidant properties; and cinnamic acid to provide UV protection. Using pure unrefined raw Shea Butter produced by the Takpo widows group of northern Ghana, Africa we are able to achieve our goal of operating a business that benefits everyone; the women who make the shea butter, the natural environment and the people who use the product.

But what about the products? Do they work? I'm often hesitant to review body or cosmetic products, as I'm not always sure if I can see a difference in performance among brands (unless something really doesn't agree with me!) But in this case, I was impressed way beyond my expectations.
Specifically the Foot Cream. You see, I've had this weird, scaly, dry patch on the top of my right foot for about a year now. None of the products I've tried have really done anything to soften it. Until now! Even after the first application of the foot cream I noticed a difference, and after maybe three nights of rubbing in the cream before bed, my scaly patch is gone! It's awesome.
All of the products feel great on the skin and are very moisturising. You really don't need much product at all to feel the effects, so your purchases will last. The body cream is luxurious, and Shea Hands, just a tiny touch, absorbs nicely for a great, silky feel. I haven't tried the Just Shea yet, but it is said to be great for dry scalp (or feet, or body), which I will soon be experiencing with the coming of winter. Given the results I've had with the other products, I don't doubt this will be a godsend over the next few, itchy months!
Finally, I couldn't resist the Kiss Me, I'm Canadian lip balm. At just $3.50 this would make a great stocking stuffer. The flavour is maple syrup-cinnamon, and it's yummy as well as quenching. I think this little Canadian add-on to any gifts you purchase here is a great idea!
With products starting at just $5.99, you're sure to find a great selection of pampering products to put together a gift for mom or any woman in your life.
