Do you have grown-up gamers in your household? Or late teens? Ubisoft has just released the latest in the very popular Assassin's Creed series. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag hit store shelves on October 29 for existing consoles, and has since been joined by versions for XBox One and PS4. If you are gifting one of these new generation consoles this year, Assassin's Creed is ready with a compatible game version to go with it. And of course versions for the existing PS3, XBox360 and WiiU are available as well.
In this fourth instalment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, it is the year 1715, and Pirates rule the Caribbean. They have established their own lawless Republic where corruption, greediness and cruelty are commonplace. But among these outlaws is a brash young captain named Edward Kenway. His fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.
In addition to story-based action and adventure, the game boasts awesomely detailed animation and beautiful scenery.
This game is rated Mature 17+ for blood, violence, use of alcohol, strong language and sexual themes. Always be sure to refer to these ESRB ratings when choosing new titles for the gamers in your life. Assassin's Creed is a well-done series, but is not suitable for the younger crowd. But for the mature gamer who is looking for a pirate adventure in a visually stunning environment, Black Flag is a great option.
