My husband asked me (on Friday!) what I wanted for Mother's Day. I told him - a hanging planter, a bottle of sherry, and a day off. He laughed.
But he did get me four hanging planters (to cover front and back - 2 are strawberries!!) and a bottle of port, plus a gift card to start me on the summer garden supplies. Perfect!! Boo made me a beautiful gift at school, including a little rosemary plant in a decorated pot and a wonderful, sentimental card that made me cry.
They let me sleep in, and I woke to the sound of church bells through the open window. So beautiful. Hubs brought Boo to karate, and I'm sitting listening to soft jazz, enjoying the spring breeze and my second cup of coffee. In a silent, empty house.
I am blissed out, and so blessed.
I wish this same kind of bliss to all the moms and step-moms and moms-to-be out there! I hope you are all spoiled rotten today!!!
Happy Mother's Day!
