Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder from Kiss Me Organics {Review}

Our first date was a super romantic day-long event, including an afternoon at Ontario Place, to show me the beauty of Lake Ontario, and ending with my first experience at a Japanese Teppan grill. So many new experiences that day, including an introduction to green tea ice cream. It was delicious. Green tea ice cream has since become a favourite of my boys as well, which I think is pretty cool since it's not a usual flavour. But it's really tasty.

I've been experimenting with a new-to-me green tea powder lately, and have been enjoying some great green tea lattes and smoothies with Matcha Green Tea Powder from Kiss Me Organics.

Matcha is an unfermented green tea powder derived from tea leaves grown in the shade so that the leaves achieve a dark green color, which gives matcha powerful amino acids. Green tea is known for its health benefits, and matcha provides these in greater concentration, including increased energy, improved fat burning, and more than 137 times the antioxidants as found in a cup of brewed tea.

I'm not a scientist, but I do find that I get a great boost of energy from my morning smoothies made with this matcha. And I love the flavour. It is a true green tea flavour, nicely intense and fresh. You only need about a single teaspoonful in a serving, so the 4 oz package lasts a really long time. At $29.00 it is reasonably priced and seems very competitive with other available brands.

Matcha Green Tea Powder from Kiss Me Organics is sold exclusively on It is 100% organic and tested for purity and can be used in everything from smoothies, to baking, to mixed drinks, and even plain water. New customers receive a digital recipe book with an incredible array of ideas are recipes for enjoying this organic matcha. I've gotten their permission to share one of these recipes with you, from the "Matcha Sweets" collection. How yummy so these sound?
