Have You Tried the New #SilkCreamyCashew?

I freely admit that I am not a fan of drinking milk. I don't have any lactose issues, and I love many dairy products, but for whatever reason I've never liked milk. Except when I was pregnant. I couldn't get enough of it in my third trimester.

I tried soy beverages years ago, but I apparently do have soy protein issues. So I turned to nut milks. And ... yum!

I've been using almond milk in my morning smoothies for ages, but now I have another option. And it's from my favourite nut!!!
Silk Creamy Cashew drink #spon
NEW Silk Creamy Cashew is now available in Canada, and will soon be in the US as well. It has a nice, creamy texture, and the cashew taste is great. With as much calcium as dairy milk, and only 60 calories per serving (33% less calories than skim milk), this is a great alternative. Free of dairy, soy, lactose, gluten, casein, egg and MSG. No artificial or and GMO free. And it's a great source of Vitamin D, something we especially need at this dark time of year. So not only does it taste good, it is a great choice for many allergen-aware and health-conscious diets.

I've been drinking this "straight" as well as using it in smoothies. It adds a subtle nutty flavour to the fruit. My latest fave smoothie includes 1 banana, 1 cup frozen raspberries, a big tablespoon of whey protein powder, some plain Greek yogourt, and about a cup of Silk Creamy Cashew, or whatever it takes to get the consistency I want. Delish! The Creamy Cashew also tastes great on cereal, which means I might actually eat more cereal now.
