More fun from Spin Master. We've had a number of Air Hogs toys over the years when the Teen was younger. This one is Boo's first Air Hog, and it's not an air vehicle, but a land one. Sort of. You see, this one drives up walls!
The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Racer is a lightweight, remote-controlled car that has two modes - one for floor play and one for the walls. In wall mode it will travel up and down and all around and will even simply stick to the wall if you park it there. It can even drive upside down on the ceiling, although we haven't tried this yet. Most of our ceilings are stucco, so that's not going to work of course.
Boo had a great time driving this all over the long wall on our main floor, avoiding such obstacles as picture frames and mirrors and the fish tank. You control the car with a "laser" beam from the remote. Basically, infrared sensors in the car allow it to see and follow a light beam you use to guide it. The light is also quite fun for our cat, incidentally.
The Zero Gravity Racer has excellent play value, particularly because of the novelty of driving up walls. Boo has shown it to a couple of friends now, and they are all putting it on their Christmas list, so I feel safe in highly recommending this as a gift for boys this year. Recommended age is 8-10, with a suggested price of $39.99. The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Racer is only available at Target stores.
