HGG2014: Zoomer Dino

If you haven't seen this one yet, I don't know where you've been! Zoomer Dino, from Spin Master Toys, is definitely one of the top hot toys this holiday season. This is the latest addition to the Zoomer family, which also includes the Zoomer dogs and puppies (Zuppies). I had the chance to play with the Zoomer Dino at a media event this summer and immediately knew he would be on our holiday wish list.

Zoomer Dino

This guy roams around freely on two wheels, but you can control him with either your hand or a remote. He senses when you are near and reacts to your movements and voice. He displays lots of great dino movements and sounds, and even has some bodily function noises that will please the young boys in your home. Seriously. We were playing with him, and he made like he was eating some Kinetic Sand and then belched!

The Zoomer Dino also displays different emotions, including curiosity and anger. You can tell his mood by the colour of his eyes (there's a chart on the website to help you out), and if you want to make him angry just pull his tail. His eyes turn red and he starts to really roar with rage and thrash around. It was pretty cool to try.

There are 7 different Zoomer Dinos, some of which are exclusive to certain stores. Each comes with a control pod, USB charging cable (for the Dino), and an instruction booklet. The control pod requires 3 AAA batteries, not included. Zoomer Dino is recommended for ages 5 and up, and I'd say that the upper limit on that doesn't exist. This guy is tons of fun for anyone!

If you'd like to see more of this guy in action, check out these Zoomer Dino videos. (I had a couple of my own ready for you, but sadly they went with the laptop failure.)

Disclosure: I received complimentary product to facilitate this review. All opinions on this blog, as always, remain my own, or those of my family.
