WW - Robins w/linky

Last week I told you about the robin who had built a nest on our back deck. Well, she's still there, and she now has a clutch of four eggs to tend. Aren't they beautiful?

She generally seems pretty unconcerned by our comings and goings. Though she watched me very carefully from a nearby tree as I photographed her nest.

Just for comparison, here are two shots I took, from roughly the same distance. The first is with my 18-55mm lens that came with the camera body. The second is with my new-to-me 70-300mm lens, both at maximum zoom. You can see why I wanted the upgrade!

  1. How neat! I love the cheeping of baby birds, and you'll get to watch them fly too. How lucky to have a new lens, it takes a great picture.
