Finding the right pair of jeans can be a nightmare or a thrill. High-waist, low-waist, skinny, boot-cut, boyfriend - there are so many options and it can be difficult to know what's right for your body shape. I find fabric to be a big factor for me. I want a jean that's comfortable, not stiff, and I appreciate some stretch. Lately I've been wearing skinny jeans, which I thought was nuts at first - I have an ample bottom and thighs - but I now love how the skinny jeans accentuate my curves and the stretchy denim makes them so comfortable throughout the day. They make me feel girlie :)
The CompanyLola Jeans is a Canadian company, whose journey began with a vision by brothers David and Sam in 2005. They wanted to create a woman's jean that would bring both comfort and fashion to wearers. After years of experimenting the final product was born, in a 4-way stretch denim providing excellent fit and excellent comfort. Lola Jeans wants women to embrace their curves and feel beautiful and empowered in their bodies.
The ProductThe jeans come in a variety of styles, including boyfriend, skinny, straight, bootcut, plus crops, capris, shorts and bermudas. They even have a pull-on line for super comfort. I decided to try a straight leg for a change.
What do you think? I find the fabric extra comfortable and it hugs my body really well. There's lots of stretch, and I like how they show off my bottom, especially with the low placement of the pockets. My only problem with the jeans is they come in just one inseam length - 33 inches. I have a 27.5 inch inseam, so I will need to get these hemmed. I washed and dried them when they arrived, and there was no shrinkage, which speaks well of the quality of the product, but isn't so great for me. Still, these are a well-constructed pair of jeans, and they are worth the investment in the tailoring. A note on sizing - these jeans fit true to size. If you normally wear a 12 in a pant, order the size 32/12. I ordered the 33/14 because I was measuring a little bigger, but the 12 would have been the better fit for me - the 14 is good, but I do have room.
