Over my years of online shopping, I've come up with a few favourite sites where I can earn rewards for the shopping I need to do anyway. And I strongly recommend you check these out before your next online shopping spree! (Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming!!)
Air Miles Shops
If you collect Air Miles (and you should!), you can begin your online shopping adventure at the Air Miles Shops portal. Sign in with your collector number, shop at any of their more than 175 online partner stores, and earn 1 Air Mile for every $20 spent. The Shopping Channel, ToysRUs, Indigo, Amazon, Dyson, Hotels.com, and so many more are found here.
Current Deal: If you haven’t shopped through airmilesshops.ca between October 1, 2014, and September 30, 2015, you can get 2x the Miles on your qualifying purchases until December 31, 2015. Refer others with a special url they give you. and if your friends qualify and make a purchase, you will get a Mile for every base Mile they earn too! (yes - that url above is my referral url - full disclosure!)
If you don't collect Air Miles, or if you prefer a cashback reward, head over to Ebates.ca (my referral link) before you check out anywhere online. They have over 650 stores offering cashback rewards on your purchases ranging from 1%-16% (Air France does 0.63%). Need to send flowers? Book a trip? Buy a new computer? Start here. Our last two Dell laptops brought us 10-13% cashback each. Old Navy, Toms, Indigo, Amazon, Anthropologie, Think Geek, the list goes on. You can choose to receive your rewards via cheque, PayPal, or an Amazon.ca e-gift card. You can even have the reward donated to a charity of your choice.
Please note that Shop.ca (my referral link) is an Ebates.ca partner as well, but even without that they offer Aeroplan Miles on purchases through their site. You will earn 1 Aeroplan Mile for every $1 spent at Shop.ca. And if you are an Aeroplan Distinction member, you will double that, earning 2 miles for every $1 spent. This one is a little different, as it isn't a shopping portal. Shop.ca offers a huge selection of product categories and brands, plus free shipping everyday.
So what do you think? Do you already use these sites? Do you have others to add? Let me know where else I should be checking out. After all, if we're going to be doing the shopping, and comparing the prices, and clarifying shipping costs, doesn't it make sense to get a little something back as a thanks for your business as well? I think so :)
