Today I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. For real. And I was cranky as all get out. And stressed. I guess I still am stressed, but less cranky at least. There are aspects of the holiday season that can bring out the worst in you for sure. Like trying to find parking at the mall. Or looking at your to-do list and realising there just aren't enough days left to fit it all in. I'm frazzled. But after watching this video, a little less so.
Video: 80 talented Choir! Choir! Choir! singers create a Random Act of Happiness and inspire a donation to sponsor a Syrian refugee family in the process
I know that made you smile!
This unexpected performance brought smiles to so many faces at the Toronto Christmas Market, in the heart of the Distillery District. It's already such a lovely space, but even more so when decorated for this festive time of year. I am sure this brought joy and some stress relief for all the people in attendance.
The performance was arranged by Koodo to spread holiday cheer to Canadians. This special rendition of The Cure's hit "Friday I'm in Love" by Choir! Choir! Choir! is gorgeous and just a lot of fun. How would you react if you were suddenly showered with song on your shopping trip? You know what's awesome? The Cure’s Robert Smith provided song rights in lieu of a donation. Inspiring random acts of happiness, Koodo passed it on, donating what they would have paid for the song fee to Choir! Choir! Choir! to help in their efforts to sponsor a Syrian refugee family. I love it!
My challenge to you? Get out there and spread some random acts of happiness of your own over the holidays. And I'd love if you could share this video with others. Use the hashtag #ChooseHappy. Such an easy way to bring a smile to someone's face today :)
Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Koodo. All opinions on this blog, as always, remain my own. And seriously, how could you not love this feel-good video? :)
