Shaun the Sheep - The Movie {giveaway}

When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it's up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
Have you ever watched Shaun the Sheep on TV? As a big fan of their Wallace & Grommit, I was eager to check out this new series when Aardman Animations came out with it. I'm not sure if the show is currently playing on the TV, but you can certainly check it out clips on their YouTube channel.

This past summer, Elevation Pictures released "Shaun the Sheep: The Movie" and it is now available on DVD, Blu Ray and On Demand, right in time for the holidays! We watched this for family movie night last week and really enjoyed it. With no dialogue (other than a few grunts or baas here or there), the story is told through action, expressions, and movements, and it's told well. Aardman are masters of claymation and there is so much humour in their shows. Laugh out loud humour.

The story here begins with boredom on the farm - everyone is in a rut and working all the time. The sheep want a day off. So Shaun hatches a "brilliant" plan, but of course everything goes to heck and they end up in the big city, where they must rescue their farmer, currently suffering from a case of amnesia. A very odd-looking stray dog, a pampered celebrity, and an evil dog catcher all play key roles in the plot, which is filled with slapstick and allusions. Truly fun for the whole family!
