Sharing the #SwifferEffect with Pet Parent Friends #ShedHappens

One of the things I love about my work is that I get to give back in so many ways. Whether it's donating my time and voice to support a charitable event, or donating toys and toiletries to families in need at the holidays, I have many opportunities to do a little good. And I love it when I can share a great new find with you all as well!

As part of my gig with the Swiffer Fanatics, I get the opportunity to share some of my favourite Swiffer products with friends and family through drops of the Swiffer Big Green Boxes. Just like in the commercials! Cool, right?  In December we were focusing on the #ShedHappens campaign, and I was tasked with identifying a family with a new pup. I knew right away whom I would call.

My buddy Jenn, over at One Heart, One Family. They had just added a sweet and furry puppy to their family, and with lots of hardwood floors to contend with, I knew she could use a hand. Plus, I really wanted to meet the puppy, so what better way than to come bearing useful gifts! I brought along a Big Green Box containing 360 Dusters and a Swiffer Sweeper, plus lots of wet and dry refills.

Everything you need to clean up after your new pup.
And here's the little darling. Just look at all the fur! Sadie is a Labradoodle. This cross does shed less than a Labrador Retriever, but that doesn't mean shed-free. Sadie will need regular hair cuts to manage her coat, but during the winter she will be kept furry to keep her warm. That means the Swiffer products will be getting a work out!

Can you imagine the shedding?!
And of course it's not just the shedding. Dogs need to go outdoors to do their business, and they inevitably drag in mud and dirt and dead leaves on their feet and fur. The wet cloth on the Swiffer Sweeper is great for a quick clean up of messy paw prints. And that "quick" part is one of the things that makes Swiffer so great. Just grab and clean - no need for dragging around a bucket of mop water or a heavy vacuum. And post cleanup you simply toss the used cloth or duster and move on. Quick cleanups mean less stress and more time to play with your furry friend.

Here's a little video I wanted to share with you as well. See what Patrick and his dogs think about their Swiffer delivery.

Cooper kind of reminds me of my cat with all that loose fur. That's a really good example of how much Labs shed!
