Feel the Force - At Disney!

Whether at Disneyworld or Disneyland, an absolute must-do on Boo's agenda has always been the Jedi Training. It's a highly popular activity that requires a sign-up (no cost though), so be sure to plan ahead to avoid disappointment.  The kids get to don the Jedi robes and learn to wield a light saber. They even get to battle Darth Vader, or another Star Wars villain. Boo has battled both Darth Vader and Darth Maul, and they have now added a character from the animated Star Wars Rebels, the Seventh Sister Inquisitor.

With the release of Episode VII, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Disney is expanding the Star Wars presence in both Orlando and Anaheim. The Star Tours attraction now boasts a new destination, from the new film. You can meet the villain Kylo Ren or the hero Wookie, Chewbacca, in Hollywood Studio's Animation Courtyard, and end your visit with the nightly fireworks show, Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular, set to John Williams classic Star Wars themes.

On the other coast, Star Wars has taken over Disneyland Park's Space Mountain. Temporarily renamed Hyperspace Mountain, this intense roller coaster now blasts you into the middle of a raging battle between the Rebel X-Wings and Imperial TIE-Fighters.

Both parks have short films and the Star Wars Launch Bay, where you can learn about the making of the films and see replica props, costumes, models and more. At Disneyland, this is where you can find Chewbacca and Kylo Ren.

Even bigger news - Disney is working on huge 14 acre Star Wars-themed expansions in both locations. The new areas will both include two signature attractions, including the opportunity to pilot the Millennium Falcon. I can't wait!

Here's a little taste to whet your appetite!
