How Do You Say #YesToTheMess? {giveaway}

paint and paintbrushes
That's a lot of paint.
Last night we held a Family Arts Night at Boo's school. We had three workshops running, with drama & dance, music (creating instruments with everyday items), and painting.  We estimate we had between 90-100 kids, their parents, siblings and grandparents come through. So much fun and so much mess! The kids painted through all the canvases we bought, then through a bunch of paper plates from the refreshment table. I ended up grabbing a stack of paper from the first grade teacher, and they made excellent in-roads on that as well.

Kids and crafts and paints and creativity. It was an amazing night, with a lot of learning about mixing colours, and creating rhythms and thinking outside the box to use old items in new ways. And lots of snips of paper and piles of glitter and splashes of paint. Everywhere. Now since we were at the school we had an awesome caretaker with her industrial strength cleaning machines to clean up our industrial sized mess. But for your messy crafting kids at home, all you need is your Swiffer!

Swiffer wants you to feel confident to say #YesToTheMess when your kids want to get creative. It’s wonderful watching your child create something without any reservations, just jumping in without a care. Unfortunately, this is a rare sight for most. According to the second annual Swiffer Cleaning Index, the majority (70 per cent) of parents feel that letting kids make a mess helps encourage their creativity, however, 65% have said “no” to their kids’ request because of the mess it will make.

It doesn't have to be that way. Swiffer products are easy to use and make clean-up fast and efficient. Plus, the tools are lightweight and safe enough for even wee hands, so you can feel confident enlisting the kids' help in the clean-up. After all, they did create the mess in the first place!
