New Home, Clean Slate with Swiffer and Mr. Clean #SwifferFanatic #MagicEraser

So, wow. It's been over a week since I posted here. That is not ok! But, I'm trying to be gentle with myself since I was sick last week, and then I had a jam-packed few days of family stuff and events, including a trip to NYC this week. (Have you been following along with my fun on Instagram and Twitter? You can always keep up with me there.)

Why was I in New York? It was a press trip, with Swiffer, to talk cleaning your new home with The Property Brothers' Jonathan Scott. He is totally charming, and he has some great tips for using both Swiffer products and the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to achieve that "clean slate" situation in your new home. It's all about a fresh start in a new place, and making that new house your home.

Have a look at this video Jonathan shot with the P&G team and see what you think of his ideas.

Jonathan feels that cleaning is the first step to making a house a home, and he's pretty dedicated to his Swiffer and Mr. Clean products to get you there. Much like myself, he's been using these products in his own home for years, so his ambassador role is a natural fit. Actually, he told us that in their real estate business they regularly gift new buyers with a big basket of goodies, including a Wet Jet and Magic Eraser, among other things.

The press event was held in a small art gallery in Soho. Products and demonstration areas were set up as gallery exhibits, for a really fun and creative atmosphere. And there was some straight-up original artwork as well.

Fun, right? And you know how Jonathan suggests using an adhesive hook to hang your Wet Jet in a convenient spot? I love this display!

Jonathan walked us through the gallery, demonstrating how easy it is to clean up those messy mover footprints with the Wet Jet, and how quickly Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser will get your kids' unauthorized artwork off your walls. Of course they will work on removing all kinds of impossible seeming dirt, so you can clean instead of paint!

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers feature water-activated micro-scrubbers that penetrate surface grooves anywhere grime gets trapped to remove built-up soap scum, grease and dirt. They remove more grime per swipe than the leading all-purpose bleach spray cleaner, without the use of harsh chemicals. Did you know? They'll even remove sticky residue from price tags on your new dishes and accessories you've picked up for your new home. And they do a great job freshening up the hardware on your doors and cabinets.

The Wet Jet makes quick work of any spills in the kitchen or mud tracked in from outdoors. It's lightweight and comes with on-board cleaning solutions specially formulated to break up and dissolve tough messes. Just press a button to spray, then run the Wet Jet pad over the area to be cleaned. The absorbent pad will collect and trap the dirt. Simply pull it off and dispose when done. Grab a refill pad for the next job.

I want to share this tip sheet with you as well. You can click on the image to enlarge, then right click to save. Happy cleaning!
