LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Available Now on Bluray {Review & Giveaway}

Bringing LEGO and Star Wars together is really just genius. And Boo never turns down an opportunity to check out one of these TV series. They are always entertaining, with lots of humour and action.

"LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures" takes place in the time between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The Freemaker family runs a salvage operation, and they build and sell starships made up from battle debris they collect throughout the galaxy. But one of the kids seems to be a little different from the rest. The youngest boy discovers he has a natural connection with the Force through an ancient artifact – the Kyber Saber – and he and his family are subsequently thrown into an epic struggle against the Empire to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. The episodes see the Freemakers travel to new worlds, meeting both new and familiar characters. And there's a strong theme of the importance of family throughout.

This first season has 13 episodes and is available now on Bluray, with a total running length of 299 minutes. (Hello quiet time while the kids watch!) Bonus features include a tour of Freemaker Salvage and Repair, and a Meet the Family with clips, behind the scenes footage, and cast interviews. The Bluray also comes with a set of 6 exclusive bubble magnets, featuring the characters from the show.

I haven't watched the whole season, but Boo has, and he gives it two thumbs up. This would be great to have on hand for the snow days we know are coming soon!
