Enter to Win Tickets to Toronto's Green Living Show, April 7-9, 2017 {giveaway}

For everyone interested in caring for our planet and reducing our impact on the environment, the 11th annual Green Living Show is coming to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this weekend, April 7-9, 2017. This is Canada’s largest consumer show dedicated to simple solutions for leading a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, featuring influential speakers; innovative products; eco home and garden design; local and organic food and wine tastings; health, wellness and yoga pavilions; eco fashion and green beauty makeovers; electric car test drives; nature exhibits and fun activities for the entire family.

The Main Stage will showcase a series of speakers and panel discussions on wellness, holistic nutrition, reducing waste, traditional medicine, reducing energy consumption, and more. Attractions throughout the weekend will include an Eco Kids Zone, where your children can learn about outdoor activities like fishing and camping, representatives from IKEA Canada’s Sustainable Living Project, a selection of free films from Planet in Focus, the chance to test drive green vehicles, a Local Food & Drink Pavilion, and the exhibit Making Our Trees count, celebrating the importance and beauty of our forests and the wonderful work of the artisans who work in Ontario Wood.

Of course, no consumer show is complete without a little (or a lot of) shopping, and there will be plenty of vendors on hand, ready to introduce you to their eco-friendly products. It's a great opportunity to learn about and meet new companies, particularly small, local makers who are creating great solutions with natural ingredients.

I was sent a little gift package with a selection of goodies from InSink 4-in-1, Green Beaver, Val Coyote Organics, and Bio-Vert. Many of you will have heard of Green Beaver, a Canadian company who have grown a solid following over the past 15 years. They produce a variety of natural health ad beauty products. Val Coyote is new to me. She produces a line of organic skin care products from her base in Haliburton, ON. I'm currently enjoying her "Kick Ass Hemp Cream: For Working Man's Hands." Natural oils, shea butter, a scent of sandalwood. It feels great and is very soothing on my rough gardener's hands. Bio-Vert is a Quebec company, making environmentally friendly cleaning products. This family owned company has been in operation since 1984!

InSink comes with a story I love. Tonis Tollasepp, a stay-at-home dad, was concerned with the amount of soap and water he was wasting with every load of dishes he washed. He researched and tested and eventually came up with this 4-in-1 system that saves water, soap, and space in the kitchen. It's a real "necessity is the mother of invention" story, and a wonderful entrepreneur story as well. If you can't make the Green Living Show to see him and his product, be sure to check it out on his website.

In addition, here are a few of the top innovations you'll find at the show.
