#HGG2017: Worry Eaters {review & giveaway}

As adults we often look at our kids and think how lucky they are to be kids. Childhood was such a carefree time, right? No bills to pay. No house to clean. No responsibilities (or at least very few, compared to being a grown-up). Idyllic. But, in reality, kids have a lot of cares and worries, and while their worries may seem small or even silly (of course there's no monster in the closet!), to them they are oh so real and can be overwhelming. Whether it's a bully at school, the spider they saw in the bathroom, or the monster living under their bed, Worry Eaters are here to help!

"I'll hold your worries so you don't have to. Together we'll get through it."

What are they? Worry Eaters are adorable plush friends, just waiting to gobble up all your child's fears and worries. Kids can write or draw their worries on slips of paper, and hide them away in their new friend's zippered mouth. All those things bothering your child? Those are a Worry Eater's favourite meal! Write them down, zip them up, and watch them disappear.

Aside from chomping down on all the things bothering your little one, the Worry Eater is quite simply a super soft and huggable comfort item that will quickly become a much-loved stuffie. They come in a variety of colours, sizes, and designs, and they all have that special zippered mouth-pocket for zipping away your child's troubles. I received a large Flint (he's available in a small size as well) to review. I chose him because his eye patch reminded me of a pirate. There's another one that really grabbed me - Ping, a kind of penguin monster, with a sweet little heart on his chest.

The fabric is really soft to the touch, and the zipper is big and solid, with an easy to grab pull. Flint is a good size for cuddling, and he's eager to help me out with my troubles.

A soft and lovable Worry Eater would make a great gift for any child in your life. The Worry Eaters provide a good starting point to help kids begin to talk about their worries, and by symbolically devouring the troubles they can provide a sense of comfort and safety as well.
