#HGG20217: Disney Emoji Collectibles {Review & Giveaway}

Full disclosure here. Every fall, I get a fair number of pitches and requests to review a variety of toys, games, and other holiday gift ideas. I love it! Sometimes the pitches are for something I know, or from a brand I have experience with. Other times, it's something entirely new to me. This is one of those entirely new to me items. Although I am, as you know, a huge Disney fan, and I do love a good emoji, and all things collectible, I had never heard about these adorable little collectible figures. Needless to say, I said "Send them over!"

Disney Emoji Collectibles are new this fall, and are based on the “As Told by Disney Emoji” short content, and the “Disney Emoji Blitz” game. These were both new to me, so I looked them up, naturally, and am now happily playing the game on my phone, after having watched quite a view short videos telling classic and modern Disney stories in emoji mode. Really cute!

This collection includes over 100 unique designs, including familiar faces from Disney Classic, Disney Princess, Pixar and Frozen lines. There are 28 characters represented, each with 4 different expressions, plus a small selection of props. Each stands about one inch tall. Kids can use these to create scenes and make their own emoji stories, display their favourites, or maybe even just choose the one that sums up their mood for the day. I actually see me doing the latter :) These emojis come in three different pack sizes, 2, 5, and 9.

The #ChatBubble includes a stackable display container and two emojis, at an MSRP of $3.99-$4.49. This is a blind pack, so you never know what you'll find. I like these because of the display case, and also because you can create and stack a whole emoji conversation as you add to your collection. These make a great stocking stuffer.

The #ChatPack has 4 visible emojis, plus one surprise, retailing for $9.99.
And the biggest package, the #GroupChat has 7 visible emojis, plus 2 surprises. It retails for $14.99.

Behind those dice on the packaging there are additional little covers to keep the surprise emojis a surprise.

Every pack comes with a collector file, showing all the available emojis. This will help you keep track of the whole "Got 'em. Need 'em." thing. As well, keep an eye out for the special #Goldi and #Squishi characters. In the sets I received for review, I scored 2 #Goldi emojis (Sully from Monsters Inc., and a prop star), and one #Squishi (Mickey's glove!).

Disney Emoji Collectibles are available at ToysRUs, London Drugs, and Chapters/Indigo. And I should mention that these are labelled as "Series 1," so I imagine we will be seeing a "Series 2" sometime in the new year :)
